Posted on Feb 17th, 2016

People wishing to take advantage of a recently created historic walking tour of Boyne City's downtown now have another tool at their disposal to help them enjoy the tour.
Kicked off last June, the Boyne City self-guided historical walking tour now has a free app available for download in the iTunes store. The app is available for download by searching for "Boyne City" in the iTunes Store or visit www.harborhouse.com/mobile/boyne-city-historic-walking-tour.htm.
The self-guided walking tour includes more than 50 stops featuring the history of Boyne City’s downtown. In addition to the app for smart phones and tablets, a printed brochure is available as well as online content with additional photos, narrative and audio options.
Boyne City city manager Michael Cain said, “We are pleased that the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Michigan Historic Preservation Network chose to partner with us on this worthwhile project, and we are excited to showcase our historic past with others. Special thanks to Michelle Cortright and Harbor House Publishers for their help and expertise in creating the app.”  (article courtesy of petoskeynews.com)
